Indian Furniture Company Cashes In On COVID-19 Hysteria, Sells 'Anti-Coronavirus Mattress'
Indian furniture company claims to sell anti-coronavirus mattresses. The mattress is apparently being sold for Rs 15000 and is also anti-fungal and anti-allergic.
Perhaps one of the worst things that coronavirus panic has proven is that people can be selfish beyond belief. Many have cleaned out entire grocery stores in fear of an indefinite lockdown and supplies of essentials items are seriously running low. Yet the panic buying mode continues.
Apart from the general panic hoarding behaviours, some companies also seem to be trying to make a few off the hysteria and it's just distasteful.

More recently, an Indian furniture company claims to sell anti-coronavirus mattresses!
This 'coronavirus resistant' mattress is apparently being sold for Rs 15,000, and is also anti-fungal and anti-allergic. The makers, Arihant, posted the ad on the Bombay Samachar.
People online slammed the company's method of using pandemic to promote their product. One user wrote,' As long as we believe cow urine & dung can cure Corona & prove we're fools to the world, companies like this easily fool us by manipulating our stupidity.'

Just like the mattress, some others have also are spreading false theories of cow urine curing COVID-19. So much so, Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha organised a Gaumutra party at its office at Mandir Marg in Delhi.
Nearly 200 people attended the Gaumutra party and some posed for pictures with a spoon filled with cow urine near a caricature of the coronavirus. It's sad, but this just seems to be the world we live in, a place where rationality holds no meaning whatsoever!
