We are all well-versed in how accurate Nostradamus' predictions have been over the years. From the rise of Adolf Hitler to the assassination of former US President John F. Kennedy, many of the 16th-century seer's prophecies have come true.
'Living Nostradamus' disagrees with 'The Simpsons' over World Cup winner
However, there is now a 'modern-day Nostradamus' making waves with his predictions.
Athos Salom¨¦, 36, a self-proclaimed future-teller, has some news for football fans-and it involves 'The Simpsons' FIFA World Cup prediction.
The clairvoyant has disagreed with legendary TV show 'The Simpsons' prediction of Brazil winning their sixth World Cup title.
Athos has earned the nickname 'Living Nostradamus' after claiming to have correctly predicted major worldwide events, including the outbreak of COVID-19 and Queen Elizabeth's death, amongst others.
In that regard, he shares something in common with the popular TV show, which has developed a reputation for eerily predicting the future.
More than 8 years ago, The Simpsons made reference to Athos' home country, Brazil, claiming their sixth trophy, which they're aiming to do in Qatar.
'Living Nostradamus' says Brazil won't win the World Cup
However, Athos is not convinced that the Samba Boys can put 20 years of hurt behind them and lift the trophy once again.
He said that in a 2011 episode of The Simpsons, Homer Simpson is seen reading a magazine of solved crossword puzzles, and one of the sentences written is 'Brazil is hexa champion'. He says it doesn¡¯t mention that it would be at the tournament in Qatar.
Brazil has been in sublime form in this year's tournament and convincingly beat South Korea 4-1 to book their place in the quarterfinals. However, Athos doesn't think his nation can achieve glory this time around.
He said he doesn't feel Brazil can be hexa, and he believes they can be in the final, not the champions.
Athos has analysed the Kabbalah according to the year of the games (2022), the start date, and the letters of the names of the countries that will play in the final. He says two of Argentina, Brazil, Belgium, France, or England will play in the final.
Since Belgium is already out, that leaves just four countries in the fray.
While Brazil plays Croatia, England will take on defending champions France in the quarterfinals, and Argentina could meet Brazil in the semis. With Brazil and France proving their mettle so far, it wouldn't be a surprise if the two sides end up fighting for the title.
Only time will tell if he or The Simpsons prove to be right, with the final taking place on December 18 in Lusail Stadium.
