Man Fakes Girlfriend's Kidnapping As Part Of His Marriage Proposal In Lebanon; Gets Slammed

A TikTok video showing a man proposing to his girlfriend by staging her kidnapping has caused division among viewers. The man's sister Tahlia captured the proposal in Lebanon, and it has received over 372,400 views on TikTok and generated a lively discussion in the comments.
The video, which has gone viral, was captioned "the most controversial proposal ever."
The soon-to-be bride is seen riding in a car and enjoying coffee with her companions in the video.
As per the video, a group of men holding fake guns approach the vehicle and try to force the occupants out.

"I'm not going with them ¡ª I told them I'll give them whatever they want," Moujalli said.
After being blindfolded, Moujalli was taken to an undisclosed location in the backseat of another vehicle.
When she arrived, she was escorted outside, and her blindfold was removed, revealing her boyfriend, Adam Rizk, waiting for her with a bouquet and an engagement ring.
Moujalli was visibly stunned as she accepted Rizk's proposal, with a live band nearby playing music.
Many TikTok users who commented on the video were perplexed by the unusual and 'frightening' proposal. "Nope. Single for the rest of my life," one person wrote. Others praised the proposal for being "different."
In an interview with Daily Mail Australia, Tahlia stated that Moujalli was genuinely delighted with the engagement.
"[Adam] always joked that he wanted to propose in a way to scare her, and my family joined in and made it possible when she was visiting family in Lebanon," Tahlia said.
"They always play pranks on each other, so it's just their relationship ... the overall planning took three months."
Vanessa Moujalli took to Facebook to share pictures from her dream proposal and expressed her happiness. Insider has contacted Tahlia for a statement regarding the proposal.
This year he had seen several unique and viral wedding proposals, including one in February where a boyfriend lost the ring in the sand during a beach proposal, and one in March, when a man rented a movie theater to recreate "Everything Everywhere All At Once" for his girlfriend's proposal.
