The bizarre-o combination of the rice-based dish and fruit is either not sitting well with people or simply becoming a favourable thing. Since being posted just a day ago, the tweet has more than 2,500 likes, almost 2,000 retweets and thousands of comments.
One user wrote the obvious, 'There is a special place in heII for disrespecting Biriyani.' Another commented, 'I'm sure it tastes great! Also, you may enjoy the berry pulao at this nearly century old Irani restaurant in Bombay, Britannia & Co.'
Clearly, the internet was also divided into parts about whether to appreciate this combination or diss it.
One more user wrote, 'Chicken biryani ke upar 5 strawberry laga diya toh Strawbiryani ban gaya?'
'The strawberries look like the sweet cherry on top of most white cream cakes,' wrote another.

I must be mad. I'm seriously considering a berry mix in biriyani. Maybe blueberries also. That tartness vs umami goat fat, hmmm...
