Studio Apartment On Sale For Rs 1.2 Crore Has Bed Balanced Over Stairs

When renting an apartment or a flat people look for at least enough space to manoeuvre. Sellers, to create an illusion of space, sometimes play tricks with images or adjust furniture in the room in a way that it looks more spacious.

However, one studio listing that has gone off market now after going viral, caught everyone¡¯s eye.

A studio flat in Worthing, UK, was on sale on onthemarket.com for ?125,000 (Rs 1.2 crore, approximately). What was unique about this 'spacious and well converted' described dwelling? Well, the bed in there is built OVER the stairs.

The description of the place reportedly read, ¡®The studio room has a built-in bed over the stairs.The kitchen area has a range of cupboards and drawers with built in fridge and two ring electric hob. The bathroom has part tiled walls and a white suite comprising a panel enclosed bath, wash hand basin and low-level WC¡¯.

But people were not really convinced of this modern over-the-stairs-bed and many questioned as to how someone could sleep on it.

Twitter user @unfortunatalie started the images of the place and one person commented, ¡®How is that bed legal? You roll over and you DIE¡¯.

Many questioned why the bed wasn¡¯t just dragged down and placed in the empty space visible in the photos. Well, the place would not look so empty then, will it?
