UP Police Solves Case Of Stolen Buffalo A Little Differently, Lets The Animal Decide Its Owner

Virendra and Dharmendra, two people living in different villages of Uttar Pradesh reached the police station. Virendra is a resident of Ali Nagar, Jalesar while Dharmendra is a resident of Madhav Nagar. Virendra accused Dharmendra of stealing his buffalo and selling it to a man.
On Sunday, a resident of Rasoolabad took the buffalo to a cattle fair, with the intention of selling it. Virendra caught the man and alleged that the buffalo belonged to him. The two men allegedly had a fight and the man revealed that he had bought the buffalo from Dharmendra. Virendra approached the Tirwa Kotwali police on Sunday and lodged a complaint against Dharmendra, accusing him of stealing the bovine, The Times of India reported.

Idea proposed by SSI
Dharmendra, on the other hand, claimed that he was innocent and alleged that the buffalo belonged to him. He said that he had sold the buffalo to the man for Rs 19,000. To settle the issue, SSI brought the buffalo to the police station and asked both the men to call it. The buffalo answered Dharmendra's call and paid no attention to Virendra.
¡°A few days ago, a complaint of theft of a buffalo was lodged. Both sides were asserting their claim on it. Then I decided to leave the decision on the buffalo itself. The matter was settled and the buffalo was given to its real owner,¡± said SSI.
Looks like the buffalo made the task a whole lot easier for the police, right?
