Pansino¡¯s father, lovingly nicknamed ¡°Papa Pizza,¡± passed away five years ago after a six-year battle with leukaemia. But even in death, he proved to be as much of a rebel as he was in life. His dying wish? For his ashes to be used to grow a marijuana plant that his family could later smoke.
Describing her father as a ¡°badass rebel,¡± Pansino explained how her mom was initially hesitant about the idea, fearing it might seem too ¡°hippie¡± for others to understand. However, after years of consideration, the family decided the time had come to fulfil his unique wish.
How did Rosanna Pansino got it
To make it happen, Pansino enlisted a licensed cannabis grower in California. After months of care, the plant was finally ready, and with the help of family and friends, the harvested leaves were rolled into joints wrapped in pink paper¡ªsomething Pansino believed her dad would have absolutely loved.
