Indian founder to relocate from 'way too perfect' Singapore to Bengaluru because he misses 'chaos'

The emigration of High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs) from India is influenced by diverse factors such as the pursuit of enhanced lifestyles, safer living conditions, and access to superior health and educational facilities.

Cut to this Indian founder, who has decided to move back to Bengaluru from Singapore because it¡¯s ¡®way too perfect¡¯.

Aakash Dharmadhikari, co-founder of AI platform Realfast, announced his decision to relocate from Singapore to Bengaluru, expressing a desire for his family, particularly his daughter, to experience life's uncertainties. Dharmadhikari shared his thoughts on social media platform X, highlighting how the perceived perfection of life in Singapore influenced his move back to India.

Dharmadhikari clarified that he and his wife aimed to expose their daughter to life's unpredictability, an experience she hadn't encountered in Singapore. "Partly we are shifting to Bangalore to get my daughter used to uncertainties of life. Singapore is just way too perfect, and we thought it¡¯s making her soft," he wrote.

The entrepreneur shared that he and his family miss the chaotic nature of life in India

Having spent seven years in Singapore, Dharmadhikari humorously admitted that he and his family had grown accustomed to the city's orderliness, forgetting the chaotic nature of life in India, he said, "Unfortunately we also had forgotten what the Indian chaos feels like.. turns out we have also become soft."

Dharmadhikari embarked on his professional journey as a software engineer with Infosys in 2005, as outlined on his LinkedIn profile. Over the course of nearly two decades, he has held diverse roles, primarily in Bengaluru during the early years of his career. Starting from September 2017, Dharmadhikari has been residing in Singapore.

In response to his announcement on X, users shared varied reactions and advice. Some empathized with his decision, acknowledging the cultural and emotional challenges of living abroad. Others cautioned him to reconsider, citing the potential difficulties of life in Bengaluru.

One user remarked, ¡°Life in Bangalore is way tougher than other cities of India. It¡¯s particularly tough due to reduced mobility due to high traffic.¡±

Dharmadhikari replied to the above comment citing his determination to move back especially Bengaluru, because he has friends over there.

Another user commented, "Moved back from the US in 1996 and loved it! It isn¡¯t about the place or your daughter, it¡¯s about where your heart feels at home because that¡¯s what you offer to your daughter ¡­ pray that you find yourself here??"

This isn¡¯t the only reason, he shared that he also misses eccentric and passionate conversations that he had in Bengaluru

While replying to a user, Dharmadhikari also gave one more reason to move to India. "To be clear - this wasn¡¯t the primary reason for us though, I was missing the eccentric and passionate conversations I routinely have in Bangalore. I wanted to work with people I worked with here the past decade, I was missing that in Singapore," the co-founder wrote.
