A social media user from MP has landed in a legal soup for 'hurting religious sentiments' of people by shooting a dance video inside a temple.?
Home Minister Narottam Mishra announced on Tuesday that a First Information Report (FIR) would be filed against the woman for shooting a video inside the premises of a temple in the Chhatarpur district of?Madhya Pradesh.
Apart from deleting the viral video, Muskan, an avid Instagram user, uploaded videos to apologize to her followers for hurting their sentiments.?
"The way Neha dressed and shot the video was objectionable. I objected to such incidents earlier and said FIRs would be registered in such cases. Despite the warning, she did this," Mishra told reporters.?
"I have directed the Superintendent of Police of Chhatarpur to file an FIR against her," said the minister, who is also the state government's spokesperson.
The woman has over four lakh followers on Instagram.
Taking cognizance of the matter, he said an FIR was lodged against members of the Ramlila committee, and two to three unidentified performers were also booked. The members have also been warned against indulging in any such action again, the Additional SP said.
