'He Is A Fighter And Is Currently Stable', Says Raju Srivastava's Family As Doctors Lose Hope

Comedian Raju Srivastava's condition remains critical while undergoing treatment at AIIMS, Delhi.?His condition rapidly deteriorated last night (August 17) because of the swelling in his brain. The doctors are said to have given up hope.

Raju Srivastava's family describes him as a fighter and is hopeful that he will recover soon.

The comedian is in the Intensive Care Unit of the Cardiology-Neuroscience building. His family claims that he is a fighter who will bounce back and recover. The comedian is still on life support.?

His condition has only improved since he was admitted eight days ago.?

Friends and colleagues, including Ahsaan Qureshi, Ashok Mishra, and his business manager Rajesh Sharma, desperately hope he recovers.?

On Thursday afternoon, his close friend Sunil Pal, who has been in touch with his family, spoke on a video that Raju’s brain is dead. Sunil said,?

“I just spoke to Raju’s nephew Kushal a while back, and I have come to know that Raju’s brain is not functioning. Doctors are trying their best, and everyone is praying for him.”

In an interview with ETimes TV, his wife, Shikha Srivastava, claimed he was stable.?

She also requested people to stop floating death rumors since it is disturbing.? She was quoted in the report as saying,?

"Raju Ji's health is stable, doctors are doing their job very diligently, and the entire management is working day and night to ensure that Raju ji gets well soon. We have full faith in them, and Raju Ji is a fighter and will win this battle. He will fight it out and come back to entertain you all, and this is my promise to you all. We are getting wishes and blessings, and many people are praying and doing puja for his health, and everyone’s vibration is very positive. I know the prayers are not going to go unanswered. I just want to urge everyone to continue praying for his health."

Reiterating that death rumors only bring everyone's morale down, Shikha added,?

"I am requesting people with folded hands to stop spreading these rumors about Raju’s health. Because of these rumors, the family, the doctors, and everyone’s morals go down. They are giving their best, and we don’t want the negativity to affect them. Right now, we need prayers and to stop spreading negative news. These rumors are very disturbing."

Due to security concerns, only close family members are currently permitted inside the ward or on the floor.

On August 10, Raju Srivastava suffered a heart attack. He was working out on the treadmill when he collapsed from chest pain. His trainer brought him to AIIMS Delhi, where he received CPR twice to resuscitate his heart.

He has not regained consciousness following a cardiac arrest. Raju Srivastava suffered significant brain damage during the heart attack. He is still in critical condition and is on ventilator support.

Ever since his admission to AIIMS, his condition hasn't improved or worsened.
