Amid all fiasco and controversies, Pathaan finally made it to theatres and how! With 60% estimated occupancy being the highest post-pandemic to reopening of shut theatres, it¡¯s no less than a revival of the movie business with this Shah Rukh Khan starrer. Love him or hate him, SRK¡¯s fandom outshines everything.

According to Box Office India, "Pathaan has recorded a phenomenal opening day at the box office as it takes a ?50-51 crore net collection in its Hindi version, as per early estimates." It is expected that being the biggest non-holiday opener after Bahubali - The Conclusion (Hindi), Pathaan will smoothly enter the 100-crore club on the Republic Day holiday.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh had told PTI before the film¡¯s release, ¡°The film is going to take a historic start at the box office with opening day collections of ?45-50 crore. The box office revival will begin with Pathaan, especially looking at its advance booking, which is very rare. It is a great start to 2023 despite being a working day.¡±

At the wrap-up party of her film Emergency, Kangana gave media bytes alongside Anupam Kher and Satish Kaushik. She told, "Pathaan acha kar rahi hai. Aisi films chalni chahiye aur I feel ki jo hamare Hindi cinema wale piche reh gaye hain, har insaan apne level pe koshish kar raha hai." Anupam Kher also said in Hindi, "It (Pathaan) is a huge film, made on a huge budget."
Salman Khan made a cameo in Pathaan donning his Tiger avatar. For the unversed, that¡¯s a pre-promotion to the actor¡¯s upcoming film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. A teaser of which was also punched in between the breaks during the Pathaan screening. Fans have taken to Twitter and have shared their excitement of seeing Bollywood¡¯s two biggest Khans together on the big screen after a long time.

Also starring Deepika Padukone, John Abraham and Dimple Kapadia, Pathaan was released globally in multiple languages including Hindi, English, Tamil and Telugu. Directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Yash Raj Films, Pathaan marks SRK¡¯s return to cinemas after a hiatus of four years since Zero (2018).
