Amid the fan frenzy, an influencer took to the street to ask Coldplay's die-hard fans in India a simple question - "Name two band members of the British Rock Band". As this video went viral, people just couldn't believe this. Calling them "fake Coldplay fans", one the users wrote, "Well, they won't hear a single word of the song. They are just going to record everything on their phones and put those videos on their SM accounts. That's what is happening. Even people outside Amitabh or Shah Rukh's home are recording on their phones, no one go there for love of these people." Another one said, "Damn! Can't imagine how real Coldplay fans must be feeling". A third one commented, "Fake generation, fake fandom, but genuine existential crisis."
Coldplay is set to perform in Mumbai in January 2025 as part of their Music of the Spheres World Tour. Due to massive demand, the band added another show on January 21, besides the other two scheduled for January 18 and 19 already. Now?third-party?vendors are selling tickets at exorbitant prices. Initially, the tickets were available with third-party vendors for Rs 35,000 and now they are reportedly selling for lakhs - from Rs 3 lakhs to Rs 8.6 lakhs.

The core members of Coldplay include Chris Martin (lead singer), Jonny Buckland (lead guitarist), Guy Berryman (bass guitarist, Will Champion (drummer) and Phil Harvey (manager and creative director). The Mumbai shows for the band will be held at DY Patil Sports Stadium.?Coldplay will now offer a limited number of Infinity Tickets, priced at the equivalent of Euro 20 (approximately Rs 2000) per ticket. These will go on sale on November 22, 2024, allowing fans to purchase them in pairs and enjoy the concert experience together.
