In Palladam, Tamil Nadu, on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a meeting with German singer-songwriter Cassandra Mae Spittmann and her mother. The singer performed a Tamil song and "Achyutam Keshavam" in front of Prime Minister Modi, who was captured in a viral video appreciating her music.?
PM Modi shared her video with the caption, ¡°Cassandra Mae Spittmann¡¯s love for India is exemplary, as seen in our interaction. My best wishes for her future endeavours.¡±
First and foremost, Cassandra Mae Spittmann's lovely interpretation of spiritual songs has been making her quite popular on social media. She is a citizen of Germany. Her religious Indian tunes and Tamil melodies went viral last year. PM Modi's Mann ki Baat also made reference to her.
She also sang Ram Ayenge, ahead of the consecration ceremony of the famous Ram Temple in Ayodhya. What makes her more special is that despite being visually challenged, she does what she loves and how!?
Her website reads, "Cassandra started to appear on radio and in several TV productions, and worked with international artists. From 2016-2017, she successfully joined the TV show ¡°Dein Song '' for young composers with her song ¡°Going home¡± featuring Sara Hartman in the finale. In 2017 she received a scholarship for the Summer Performance Program at the Berklee College of Music in Boston where she was among the 5-week-winners of the Songwriter?s showcase with her original ¡°The way I am¡±
Cassandra also visited Isha Foundation and she wrote while sharing a video, ¡°I¡¯m at the @isha.foundation and I still can¡¯t believe it and I¡¯m sooo happy I was able to meet some of you in person already who are here and didn¡¯t know I was coming ? Save and share if you like me singing in front of Lord Shiva.¡±
