The trouble for Ranveer Singh is only increasing. Following two Police complaints against the actor for posting nude photos on Instagram that allegedly hurt the sentiments of women, now Mumbai Police have registered an FIR against him.?
He has been booked under?IPC Sections 292 (Sale, etc of obscene books, etc) 293 (sale of obscene objects to young people), 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) and sections of IT Act invoked.
A woman lawyer had also submitted a complaint against the Bollywood actor's obscene photoshoot in the Chembur Police station.??
A part of the complaint by the NGO read, "Last week we saw many nude photographs were clicked in such a manner that any male or female will feel ashamed about it.?These kinds of acts should be opposed strongly, if it is not being opposed then second and third rank actors will also follow the same path for getting cheap publicity which will result in the worst condition".
It also added, "As this act of the accused person created shame in the eyes of the women at large and publishing and transmitting sexually explicit material."
"I think it¡¯s his way of demanding justice for gender equality.?If women can show off their sexy bodies why can¡¯t men??It¡¯s hypocritical that men are judged by a different standard. Men should have as many equal rights as women," RGV was quoted as saying by?ETimes.
About his nude photoshoot, Ranveer Singh told the magazine he posed for, "It¡¯s so easy for me to be physically naked, but in some of my performances, I¡¯ve been damn f******g naked. You can see my f******g soul. How naked is that? That¡¯s being actually naked. I can be naked in front of a thousand people, I don¡¯t give a s**t. It¡¯s just that they get uncomfortable."
