According to reports, singer-actor Gippy Grewal has accused JugJugg Jeeyo makers of having used his vocals for the film's popular song Nach Punjaban.During an interview, Gippy Grewal opened up about the controversy surrounding the subject and explained that he wasn't even aware of the fact that his vocals had been used for Nach Punjaban song in the film.
The singer said that he got to know about it only months later. Gippy Grewal also shed light on the copyright issues that KJo's Dharma Productions eventually faced and the confusion around the song.
¡°Nobody called me for three months. So I assumed that nobody liked my vocals and they didn¡¯t use it. After seeing the poster for the film, he asked music composer Tanishk Bagchi if his vocals had been used, and Tanishk said ¡®No, it was Dharma¡¯s call¡¯,¡± Gippy Grewal was quoted as saying by the portal Bollywood Hungama during a recent interview.

Gippy further said that he accepted their rejection and wished the team good luck for the film.
¡°The next day, the trailer came out and I didn¡¯t watch it because I thought that my song hadn¡¯t featured in it, so I wasn¡¯t interested. My brother called then and said, ¡®You sang well, you didn¡¯t tell me?'¡± the singer added.?
Moreover, speaking of how the makers got their hands on his vocals, the singer said that he was asked to sing the song Nach Punjaban, so he recorded it and had sent it across.Other than Gippy Grewal, Pakistani singer Abrar Ul Haq had earlier accused Karan Johar of copying his song Nach Punjaban.

Abrar had announced on social media that he did not sell the rights to his Nach Punjaban song to any Indian movie makers. He slammed Karan Johar and said that ¡°producers like KJo" should not copy songs and threatened to take legal action. The singer claimed that it was his sixth song that had been copied.

Gippy Greweal also reacted to this and said, ¡°I was stuck. I realised this is Abrar¡¯s song, and they¡¯ve taken his rights¡ªand I¡¯ve grown up listening to him, and I respect him a lot. And I had not signed any agreement, and I got a nice call from Azeemji in Dharma Productions so I signed, and I explained that it¡¯s not about the money, and to please not do this. I don¡¯t understand these things.¡±
