Last year in December, Bollywood actor R Madhavan revealed that his son Vedaant is prepping up for Olympics 2026 and to support him, his family had shifted to Dubai so that he has access to large swimming pools.

?R Madhavan's father Ranganathan Iyengar was a management executive in Tata Steel?and his mother, Saroja was a manager in the Bank of India.?
"But I knew early on in my life that I did not know what I was going to be, but I did know that I did not want to live a routine life living in Jamshedpur and doing the same thing for 30 years in a row which my father did with so much ease. They (his parents) were distraught, in fact, my dad was driven to tears. And I remember a line where he said, ĄŽI wonder what I have done wrong with you,'" he told?Curly Tales?in an interview.??
"I?think, also, I was never financially super settled at any given point of time and never allowed myself to be there. That hunger to create what is called a 'star life' has always kept me wanting more. But I have realised I can never live like a star. I'm a terrible star. I don't wear designer clothes, and I can't afford to have people around me all the time. I also realised how you walk at the airport decides how many people mob you and how many people leave you alone. I'm very, very hungry. I don't think I can ever reach a stage where I can say I've made it," he was quoted as saying by Film Companion.
