Veteran actor Rio Kapadia passed away today. He was 66. The actor, famous for his roles in films like 'Chak De! India,' 'Happy New Year,' 'Dil Chahta Hai,' 'Mumbai Meri Jaan' and many more, is survived by his wife, Maria Farah, and their two kids, Aman and Veer.?
Kapadia's friend Faisal Malik confirmed the news of his death to India Today. The report mentions that the actor was diagnosed with cancer last year. However, the cause of his death has not been revealed yet.?
His cremation is said to take place on September 15 at Shiv Dham Shamshan Bhumi in Mumbai's Goregaon area.?

Kapadia was recently seen in one of the episodes of 'Made in Heaven 2', where he portrayed the role of Mrunal Thakur's character's father.
Besides being an actor, Kapadia was also an impeccable sketch artist. His Instagram page is full of sketches of actors such as the late Rishi Kapoor, late Dilip Kumar, Naseeruddin Shah, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, and many more.?
He was also a cast member of films like 'The Big Bull,' 'Khuda Haafiz,' 'Agent Vinod,' and more. He was also a familiar face on television with shows like 'Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke' and 'Mahabharat' where he portrayed the role of Gandhari's father,?King Subala of Gandhara.?
