People especially women in India didn't realise how lonely they are unless Covid era hit them. Despite having the whole family around, a sense of isolation kicked. Women who were working slipped into depression because they were so used to having a life outside of home and homemakers were only busy taking care of their families.?
Elderly women suffered a lot more as their children could not visit them and they couldn't step out due to health risks. And of course, we lost too many known and unknown people during that time, to have a normal mental health in place.
Without friends and companionship, it can get very stressful. Even now, when offices and the world has opened up, women still prefer staying back at home or be on their own.
Overcoming loneliness is a personal journey, and believe?me, following 14 tips can help women navigate and alleviate feelings of loneliness:?
