On Monday, amidst the joy surrounding the CBSE Board results, Vanshika's triumph carried a message of resilience and hope. Despite facing formidable obstacles posed by her visual impairment and humble economic background, the indomitable spirit of this 15-year-old shone brilliantly. Her determination propelled her to an inspiring 96% score in her Class 10 Boards of 2024.
Vanshika?attends the Institute for the Blind in Sector 26, Chandigarh.
Her father, Sonu Pal, works as a labourer, while her mother, Anita, is a homemaker.
She studied entirely on her own, dedicating?three hours to self-study every evening from 5 to 8 pm. She even extended her study hours until 11 pm during exams.
Her dream is to crack the UPSC Civil Service Examination and become an IAS officer.

Apart from that, she is passionate about advocating for visually impaired students' empowerment and creating a supportive environment for them.?In her free time, she enjoys reading motivational stories and participating in school debates.
From the Institute for the Blind in Sector 26, a total of nine visually impaired students took the class 12 exams, while sixteen visually impaired students sat for the class 10 exams.?

All candidates successfully passed their respective examinations.
In the class 12 category, Rajeev emerged as the topper with an impressive 88.6%, closely followed by Kusum Bhatia securing the second position with 88%, and Danish Bassan securing the third position with 87.4%. Among the class 10 students, Vanshika excelled with a remarkable 96%, followed by Chandni with 92.2%, and Paras Bhardwaj with 91.2%.
According to data shared by the board, this year witnessed a staggering registration of over 39 lakh students for the board exams, spanning across 26 countries in addition to India.
The gender-wise pass percentage for this year is? 94.75% for girls and 92.71% for boys.
