The Kshatriya Karni Sena has announced a cash reward of over Rs one crore to kill jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. According to Kshatriya Karni Sena national president Raj Shekhawat, the cash reward will be given to any police official who kills Bishnoi in an encounter.??
Shekhawat made the announcement in Vadodara, Gujarat, where he was visiting to attend the Kshatriya Ekta Mahasammelan in Ahmedabad.??
Noting that the Bishnoi gang has created an atmosphere of fear in the country by harassing businessmen and killing social and political leaders even while Lawrence Bishnoi is behind bars, Shekhawat said he wants to ask people whether the gangster should be encountered or not.??
It should be noted that the Karni Sena and the Bishnoi gang have a history.??
Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, the chief of Karni Sena, was shot dead by assailants belonging to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang on 5 December 2023 in Jaipur.??
Rohit Godara, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility for the murder of Gogamedi, who, according to him, was supporting their enemies and was working to strengthen them.??
The 31-year-old Bishnoi, who has been convicted in four criminal cases in Punjab, including charges of extortion, murder, attempted murder, and offences under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), and has been in jail since 2015, has been running his empire from behind bars.??
He is said to have directly ordered the killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala in 2022 and the assassination of NCP leader Baba Siddique in Mumbai last month.??
The killing of Siddique has once again raised questions about how Bishnoi has been able to have a free run, committing murders and ordering extortion from jail.??
Reacting to the killing of Siddique, Lok Sabha MP from Bihar¡¯s Purnea, Pappu Yadav, said that if the law allows him, he would destroy the network of gangster Bishnoi within 24 hours.??
¡°If the law allows, I will destroy the entire network of this cheap criminal Lawrence Bishnoi within 24 hours,¡± said Pappu Yadav, who himself has a history of crimes before his entry into politics.
