Sukhdool Singh, aka Sukha Duneke, a Punjab-born gangster whose name was featured in the wanted list by NIA, has reportedly been shot dead in Canada.
Duneke, a member of the Davinder Bambiha gang, was shot dead in Winnipeg on Wednesday?in what is being described as an inter-gang rivalry.
Winnipeg Police have confirmed the incident of shooting in the area of Aldgate Road on September 18, but have not confirmed it as being fatal or the identity of the victim.?
In a statement posted on X the Winnipeg Police said "On September 18, 2023, at approximately 6:20 p.m., General Patrol officers responded to the report of a shooting incident in the area of Aldgate Road and Gobert Crescent. The Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation."
Originally from Moga, Punjab, Duneke, who has several criminal cases against fled to Canada from India on forged documents in 2017.
In year 2022, Duneke allegedly conspired to kill kabaddi player Sandeep Singh Nangal with the help of his associates during a kabaddi match at Mallian village in Jalandhar.?
Duneke was reportedly a part of the Khalistan movement in Canada.??
He was allegdly associated with the pro-Khalistan outfits and was said to be linked to Canada based Khalistan operative Arshdeep Singh aka Arsh Dala a designated terrorist in India.Duneke mostly made calls for extortion and indulged in contracted killings.?
More than 20 criminal cases of murder and other heinous crimes have been registered against him in Punjab and nearby states.
Several months ago, Punjab Police had identified seven gangsters operating from Canada for an extended period.
The list included Lakhbir Singh alias Landa, Goldy Brar, Charanjit Singh alias Rinku Randhawa, Arshdeep Singh alias Arsh Dala, Ramandeep Singh alias Raman Judge, Gurpinder Singh alias Baba Dalla, and Sukhdul Singh alias Sukha Duneke.
These individuals are believed to be connected to various criminal activities in Punjab.
