Voting got underway in 93 seats across 12 states and Union Territories on Tuesday in the third phase of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. A total of 17.24 crore voters are eligible to cast their franchise in this?phase?at 1.85 lakh polling stations. With the third phase on Friday, the Lok Sabha Elections also crossed the halfway mark with voting in 284 out of the 545 seats in the Lower House of the Indian Parliament.
Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag-Rajouri?Lok?Sabha?seat which was originally scheduled to vote in the third phase will not go to the polling booths on Tuesday as the Election Commission of India (ECI) postponed the polling to the sixth?phase?to be held on May 25.

However, voting for the Betul?Lok?Sabha?seat of Madhya Pradesh which was originally scheduled in the second phase will be held on Tuesday due?to the death of the BSP candidate.
Surat Lok Sabha seat in Gujarat which was also scheduled to vote on Tuesday in the third phase will not see voting as the BJP candidate Mukesh Dalal has already been declared the winner unopposed.
Voting will be held in all the other 25 seats in Gujarat in the third phase, while Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh will vote for seven Lok Sabha seats each.
In the southern state of Karnataka, 14 seats in the north and central regions of the state will go to the polls on Tuesday.
Ten constituencies in UP - Sambhal, Hathras, Agra, Fatehpur Sikri, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etah, Badaun, Aonla and Bareilly - will go to the polls on Tuesday.

Voting will also be held in four seats of Assam, five seats in Bihar, six seats in Maharashtra, four seats in West Bengal two sets in Goa?and?one in Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu.
