In yet another incident of hate crime, a Muslim man was allegedly shot at after he was asked his name in Begusarai district of Bihar. The injured man is seen in a now viral video speaking about the incident.
The victim, identified as Mohammed Qasim, is a detergent salesman in Kumbhi village. He identified one of his attackers as one Rajiv Yadav, who he said was drunk at the time of the incident.
¡°I was stopped by Rajiv Yadav and he asked me my name. When I told him my name, he said you should go to Pakistan and then shot me,¡± he can be heard saying in the video.?
An FIR has been filed but the police have not arrested anyone so far, reported The Hindu.

Qasim said that Yadav, after shooting him once, was reloading the gun to shoot him again, when he pushed him and managed to escaped. He added that no one from the crowd came forward to help him because the attacker was waving gun in the air.
In the video, Qasim is heard saying that he first went to the village head but was not supported by anyone. Later he went to the police, who took him to a government hospital for treatment.
This is the third incident of hate crime against Muslims reported in last one week.
On May 22, three Muslims, including a couple were thrashed by cow vigilantes and forced to chant ¡®Jai Shree Ram¡¯ and ¡®Bharat Mata Ki Jai¡¯ slogans in Madhya Pradesh¡¯s Seoni district.
On May 25, a Muslim youth was attacked by mob that knocked off his skull cap and demanded that he chant ¡°Jai Shree Ram.¡±
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi blamed the BJP for attacks against Muslims and not being able to control such incidents against them. He said Muslim are reduced to ¡°target practice¡± in India.
