When you book an air ticket or do web check-in you have the option to select your seat. This allows you to pick one of the few available free seats or if you travelling in a group pay a few hundred Rupees extra so that everyone can sit together during the flight.
Despite this option being available, some people refuse to use it and expect others to give up their paid seats so that they can sit next to their friends or family.
But a woman passenger on a flight from Bengaluru was in a rude shock after she asked a co-passenger if he would move to a different seat so their family could sit together.?
The passenger, Mahesh, agreed, but only on the condition that she pay him the amount he had paid for the seat. To make the offer even sweeter, Mahesh said he would accept the payment either in cash or via GPay.
But for some reason, he only got an angry look back, leaving Mahesh wondering why.
"On a flight out of BLR. Someone asked if I could move to a different seat so their family could sit together. I said sure and that I accept cash/GPay, and told her I paid xxx for that seat. Wonder why she looked so pissed off. What did she expect me to do, jump up&out of my seat?," he wrote on X.
The post soon went viral and Mahesh further 'warned' others what to expect if they tried the same.?
"Anyone who uses this idea in the future, please be prepared for a REALLY angry look at first followed by a couple of muttered insults, and plenty of mumbling in the flight that is JUST out of decipherable range," he wrote.
