Leaving a promising career as a chartered accountant, a 25-year-old man from Rajkot chose the world of crime to make ends meet. The accused is Vrushant Dhanesha.?
His arrest revealed that he was involved in a murder along with several incidents of mobile and chain snatching.?
According to a TOI report, the man shunned his bright career as a qualified chartered accountant and resorted to as many as 52 incidents of snatching.?
The black deeds of Dhanesha came to light after his arrest by the Amreli crime branch for allegedly murdering a man at Shani Ashram in Odia village on June 7. The victim has been identified as 30-year-old Jignesh Dhakan.?
According to police, the accused killed Dhakan after he suspected that the victim had got to know about his criminal antecedents and may inform the police.?
"The accused Dhanesha became friends with the victim after he frequented the ashram. During a casual conversation, Dhakan asked Dhanesha about his background. The accused got suspicious that Dhakan may have come to know about his criminal background," the report quoted RK Karamta, Inspector with Amreli crime branch.?
On June 6, when Dhanesha visited the ashram, Dhakan again asked him about his background which strengthened his suspicion.?
While leaving the ashram, Dhanesha forgot his bag. He came back to collect it and found Dhakan sleeping. He took an iron rod lying nearby and battered Dhankan to death.
