If you have ever dreamed of relocating to a quiet place nestled in the mountains, there is an opportunity up for grabs.?
A quaint little village in Switzerland is offering a whole lot of money to anyone who decides to move there. The Swiss village of?Albinen, located in Valais, will pay ?53,000 (Rs. 43,00,950) to each person who decides to move home.

According to a report in The Local, the Swiss council will soon be voting on the new initiative which is aimed at repopulating the community that has fallen to just 240 residents. The village's highest number of inhabitants was recorded in 1990 when a total of 380 people resided here.
Each new adult resident will be paid this?amount. In addition, ?7,600 (Rs. 6,53,547) will also be paid per child.

Most of the residents who have moved out of Albinen were families with children, reports Swiss news agency, ATS. Even though the village was never a thriving community, the last three exits led to the closure of Albinen's school.

New residents must be under the age of 45 and must build or purchase a property to live in Albinen full time. The house cannot be?used as a holiday home and should be worth at least ?151,900 (Rs.?1,30,59,754). New residents will also have to remain in residence for at least a period of ten years or forgo their fee.?
The Swiss are hopeful that an influx of new residents will boost the village's flailing economy through taxes, building contracts, and the purchase of local food.?

Except for its narrow streets, centuries-old homes, a church and a shop, Albenin doesn't have to offer much except for peace and quiet. New residents will have to learn German which is the regionĄ¯s first language.?
