Following the launch of its Dark Mode for the Facebook website as well as the Facebook Lite App, the social media giant is now rolling out the new feature for its Android and iOS apps.
The launch of Dark Mode on the app took rather too long, after Facebook first introduced it to its website earlier last year. The company had confirmed the rollout on the mobile app earlier and had started introducing the feature to a limited number of users. It will now be expanding the same.
The expansion of the rollout has been announced by noted tipster Jane Manchun Wong. Wong tweeted about the development, sharing a video made in collaboration with Facebook in the tweet.
Taking to Twitter, Wong said ¡°Facebook is publicly testing Dark Mode!¡± Wong further added that she ¡°chatted with Facebook¡¯s Alexandru Voica,¡± an EMEA tech comms manager at Facebook for the announcement of the rollout. You can check out the shared video below.
The video starts with a fun chat between Wong and Voica about a lot of people asking Voica for an update on the Dark Mode. Post the chat, the video provides a glimpse of how the Dark? Mode works on the Facebook app. A look at it and we can easily comment that the update gives a neat, refreshing look to the phone.
In case you want to experience the new feature on your Facebook mobile app, you need to follow the following steps.
¡ª Update your Facebook app on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
¡ª On the updated app, open the Settings menu on Facebook
¡ª Scroll down to find the Dark Mode option
¡ª Turn the toggle ¡®On¡¯ to activate the Dark Mode
The new feature is slowly being rolled out to devices globally and is not yet available to all the users. For those who do not see the option yet will have to wait for it but not for long, promises Facebook.
