We know more about the upcoming iPhone 14 series. A leaked image offers a glimpse into Apple's upcoming smartphone range. The rumoured device's mould sourced from Weibo has been making the rounds online.
Mind you, the image shows a mould of the upcoming iPhone 14, implying that it is most likely being used to produce third-party iPhone cases instead of production for the device itself.?The image confirms a few speculations about the iPhone 14, especially in terms of its dimensions.
It appears that this year's range of iPhones will come without a mini variant, or perhaps, the moulds of iPhone 14 mini are just not in public knowledge yet. If rumours and leaks are to be trusted, Apple is getting rid of the 5.4 inch iPhone due to lack of positive customer review.

Owing to this, Apple is expected to shift focus to bigger screen sizes for the iPhone 14 series. These include a 6.1 inch iPhone 14, a 6.1 inch iPhone 14 Pro, a 6.7 inch iPhone 14 Max, and a 6.7 inch iPhone Pro Max.
If you were expecting radical design changes for this year's line up, we're sorry to disappoint you. According to the image, the design for iPhone 14 will be roughly based on the flat-edged design of iPhone 13.
Even then, expect some changes in the camera region. Based on iPhone 14 schematics shared by Max Weinbach, the camera on the iPhone 14 will be 4.17 mm thick. This means that the bump will be 0.57 mm larger than the one on iPhone 13 Pro Max.
According to MacRumors, the upcoming 14's bump size will also increase by 5% - going from 35.01 mm to 36.73 mm in terms of width. It's unclear how uniformly these changes will be implemented on various models.

If camera is what entices you to invest in a new iPhone, then this might bring you some relief. It appears that Apple is making significant improvements to its Ultra Wide camera, in addition to updates to the telephoto lens.
According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi, the 2022 iPhone Pro models will sport a 48-megapixel Ultra Wide camera, marking a giant improvement from the 12-megapixel camera.

Unfortunately, the mould only gives us an idea of what the iPhone's back would look like. Even then, it seems that Apple intends to finally get rid of the front notch and replace it with a circular hole-punch of sorts. Phew! This might only happen to Pro iterations of iPhone 14.
Regardless, we're excited to see how Apple implements these changes to the iPhone 14 series. Are you looking forward to the release of new iPhones? Let us know what you think in the comments below.?For more in the world of?technology?and?science, keep reading?Indiatimes.com.?
