Pearl, a female Chihuahua who is just two years old, has been officially acknowledged by the Guinness World Records (GWR) as the tiniest dog in the world.?Pearl's height is a mere 3.59 inches and length 5.0 inches; his size is comparable to a dollar bill and shorter than a popsicle stick.
According to GWR, Pearl is the offspring of the identical twin sister of Miracle Milly, who previously held the title. At birth, both Milly and Pearl weighed 28g.
Pearl was recently featured on the TV program Lo Show Dei Record and was greeted with enthusiastic applause.?
Her owner, Vanesa Semler, brought her onto the stage in an extravagant Easter Egg-shaped Seat.?
During her appearance, Semler described Pearl as a bit of a Diva to the show's host, Gerry Scotti. Semler also provided some intriguing insights into Pearl's personality.?
She stated that Pearl is a calm dog who enjoys eating high-quality food such as chicken and salmon.?
Additionally, the pup takes pleasure in dressing up and even went on a shopping trip with Semler around Milan, where Pearl was affectionately referred to as "small like a ball," according to a blog post by Guinness World Records.
Pearl's height was accurately measured three times at the Crystal Creek Animal Hospital in Orlando, Florida, where she was born. Each measurement was carefully taken from the base of her front leg foot up to the top of the withers in a straight vertical line, as described in Guinness World Records' blog.?
