Earlier this day, we read about a Muslim family who has been taking care of a 500-year-old Shiva temple for generations. While people are busy spreading hatred in the name of religion, there are some who are keeping up the spirit of a united and secular India.
In a similar incident, the Muslim community in Aligarh is offering milk and fruits to Kanwar yatris as the country celebrates Shivratri. Social worker, Amanullah Khan, who is taking responsibility of the Kanwar yatris who have put their camps on the Sasnigate crossing in Aligarh says "I've been organizing this camp during #Mahashivratri since last 4-5 years to serve Kanwariyas, Bhole Ji gave me this opportunity to serve & I'm doing it. Hindu brothers also keep fast during Ramzan."
Amanullah has been serving Kanwar yatris since the last 4-5 years and said that the deity (Lord Shiva) gave him this opportunity. This incident has generated a much-needed positive buzz:?

In a world where people are ready to kill each other for their differences, people like them set an example for the rest to follow.
