Our parents ensure that when we are studying for our exams, we get our own space so that we do not get distracted by anything. However, not everyone is born with that kind of privilege and yet come out of it with shining colours.
An 18-year-old student of class XII managed to score a whopping 96 per cent in CBSE board exams without the luxury of having a personal space to study. The girl, Fazia, lives in a 60/70 sq ft room along with her mother, brother and three sisters in JJ Cluster in Delhi's Seelampur.?
Before her board examinations, Fazia used to wake up every morning and take care of household chores as well as her stitching job which helped her earn some money.?

However, her much-needed duties and errands did not become obstacles in her path to success and she performed exceptionally well in her board exams.
Without the help of any tuition or teacher, Fazia told ANI that it was hard for her to manage her household duties and studies together but the end result has proved otherwise all thanks to her hard work.?
She also said that because they live in a slum there's plenty of noise and hustle-bustle that goes on through the day.?This led to her only being able to study at night when things were relatively quieter.
After finding out about Fazia's struggle, an NGO called Asha Society came forward and provided her with study materials like sample papers. The organisation also conducted mock tests and provided her with an environment that helped her to study and score so well in her exams.

Fazia's mother is a cancer survivor and she and her late husband always wanted their children to study and be successful in life. Her brother is a daily wage labourer and Fazia also works hard to contribute her share to the family, she told ANI.
Fazia manages to earn Rs 2,000 to Rs 2,500 monthly from her stitching job. She has dreams of becoming a Geography teacher and visit different places throughout her life. Having never stepped outside of northwest Delhi, Fazia dreams of visiting Sikkim the most.
Fazia's story is a strong example of how your struggles should not become your identity. Hard work always pays off if you follow your dreams with a burning passion.?
