Several states of the country have been hit by heavy rainfall. Telangana is one such state where heavy rainfall and floods have continued to wreak havoc. Rescue operations have been going on during this time leading to dramatic visuals being witnessed.?
One such scene surfacing on social media is reminding everyone of the hit movie Baahubali. A man was seen carrying on his head a plastic tub with a three-month-old baby boy wrapped in warm clothes in it. He was doing so while walking in neck-deep water.?
Reportedly, a family with a toddler was struck in the flooded water. The child was rescued on a plastic tub carried on the head by a rescue worker in throat-deep water in Manthani town in Peddapalli district. A woman, who appears to be the mother of the baby, is also seen wading through the flood water with the help of another man. The child was thankfully taken to a safer place.
A video of the incident is now viral online. A Twitter user named Inspired Ashu shared it on the portal. The caption along with the video read, "The real-life Baahubali! A man carries a months-old baby over his head in a basket in the flood-affected village of Manthani."
Thanks to the continuous rains and floods, the Godavari river's water level in Telangana crossed the third warning level of 67.01 feet and reached 61 feet in Bhadrachalam town, causing water-logging and massive inundation in low-lying areas.
The Anjanayelu Swamy temple has been submerged under water. Bhadradri temple and the Annadanam area have also been submerged due to the rise in Godavari level.?
Localities have been advised to step out only in case of emergencies. Since the Godavari river's flow is pretty fierce currently, in view of the looming danger, people are not allowed on the Godavari bridge to view the river.?
