One of the reasons many people have stopped entertaining the idea of buying cars is that there is no space for them to park. Roads, streets, even sidewalks are packed with parked vehicles and these are just the ones that are not on road, in traffic.?
Basically, finding space to park a car is a big problem, however, given how jugaadu?people can be, some have come up with a solution for this. A video of one such ¡®efficient¡¯ man is going viral on social media.?
Chairman of the Mahindra Group, Anand Mahindra shared a video with the caption, ¡®Saw a video of a similar device in Punjab some time ago. But this is one step ahead. I love the 'geometrical' elegance of the solution! I bet the person who designed this would be able to give us some real out-of-the-box ideas for making our factory layouts more efficient!¡¯
The video was originally shared by the Twitter handle, CCTV IDIOTS with the caption, ¡®Super Saver.¡¯
In the one-minute-long footage you can see a man carefully trying to park his car in what appears to be a parking spot. However, as the video progresses, one sees that he is parking the car in a ¡®crammed¡¯ up space on lifted panels, the type are which are seen in mechanic shops. However, that is not the most ¡®jugaadu¡¯ part of the clip. He comes out of the vehicle, apparently done with his parking, but not quite.?
He pushes the car into the gap in the wall, below the stairs of a house. The car slides in with the help of the panel and fits neatly under the staircase as if occupying no extra space.?
One has got to agree that the idea of using barely any extra space for parking the car seems brilliant and super efficient, however, not everyone on Twitter seems to be impressed. While Anand Mahindra seems clearly in awe of the ¡®jugaad¡¯, some people pointed out that given the limited space under the staircase, this parking method could only be possible for the one model the man owned - classic zen.?
One person commented, ¡®Problem is only the classic zen will fit in, one can't upgrade¡¯. While another said, 'The good thing is that this person has not cut down the tree to make this car park design. But he has to maintain the same model of the car for very very long time¡¯.?
Well this particular video might go down in history under ¡®modern problems require modern solutions¡¯ category.?
