Anand Mahindra is a modern-day genie who grants everyone¡¯s wishes on X. Known to come to the rescue of those in need, Mahindra saved the day for filmmaker Nag Ashwin who is all set to take the entertainment world by storm with his upcoming movie Kalki 2898 AD starring Prabhas in the lead role.?
It all came to light when Anand Mahindra lauded Ashwin after the unveiling of Bujji, a custom-made robotic vehicle which is one of the highlights in the film. It is a futuristic motor car that belongs to Prabhas' character Bhairava. The AI-powered car assists Bhairava in his endeavours and is one of his closest allies.
Taking to X, Mahindra & Mahindra chairman shared that he is proud of the filmmaker and his team as they aren¡¯t afraid to think ¡®Really big¡¯.?
He shared the teaser which introduces Bujji, an aide of Bhairava, played by Prabhas. Bujji was introduced through a video where the team worked on its ¡°body¡±. The much-anticipated character debuted at an event in Hyderabad last week, drawing a lot of praise from enthusiasts and industry insiders.
Mr. Mahindra stated that the Mahindra Research Valley team in Chennai played a crucial role in bringing the Kalki team's vision of a futuristic vehicle to life. They achieved this by simulating the powertrain configuration, architecture, and performance. He further noted that the vehicle is propelled by two Mahindra e-motors that drive the rear spherical wheel.

Nag Ashwin thanked Mr Mahindra and Jayem Motors? for helping him put together the robot and bringing the vision for Bujji to life. "Thank you sir for helping us dream the impossible... and for giving our #bujji its wings (tyres...)," the filmmaker wrote on X.
During the Kalki 2898 AD event in Hyderabad, Nag Ashwin talked about Mr Mahindra's significant role in the film. "Bujji may sound small, but it's incredibly special," he said, adding that it was the "toughest part of our production", as per an Indian Herald report.
Ashwin mentioned that he had reached out to Anand Mahindra for assistance via X(formerly Twitter) at that time. Subsequently, they were directed to Jayam Motors in Coimbatore, a company specializing in experimental racing car construction. Building a car with such distinctive features necessitated extensive research and development.
"Kalki 2898 AD" is a science fiction thriller set in a dystopian future. Scheduled to release on June 27, the film features an ensemble cast including Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, and Prabhas.
