According to one flight attendant, you should "never, ever, ever, ever use or put anything" in a specific region of the seat when flying.?
By using the discussion platform Reddit, the attendant provided their recommendations as well as some alarming truths that every passenger should be aware of.?
The user, who goes under the name HausofDarling, noted that seat pockets on commercial planes should be avoided at all costs, regardless of how tempting it is to unload your goods and get comfortable before your flight.
The attendant advised guests to think twice before putting their phones, books, or snacks in the compartments, saying, "I always recommend you never, ever, ever, ever use or put anything in the seat pocket." They are cleaned of trash but never cleaned.
"I have pulled out and seen all sorts been pulled out from there. Dirty tissues, sick bags, knickers, socks, gum, half sucked sweets, apple cores, and then next flight you go and put your phone, laptop or iPad in there", the Daily Express reports.
Another unidentified crew member backs up the account, detailing some of the worse objects they'd come across in the pockets during their employment."I once found vomit outside of a paper bag that had spilled through the seat pocket." "It was terrible, but what can you do?" they asked.
According to flight attendant Tommy Cimato, wearing shorts increases your exposure to microorganisms on board."Do not fall asleep or lean your head against the window," he said.?
"You are not alone, and you have no idea how many people or children have wiped their hands or other objects all over the window."
"It's the same as the window; you never know how clean it will be, so if you wear trousers, you'll have fewer germs."Wearing trousers can help travellers avoid direct contact with the seat, offering further germ protection on the plane.
