The carelessness on the family's behalf who couldn't bear the heat and an unfortunate series of events led to the patient's death.?
Reportedly, the incident took place on June 15. The family reportedly disconnected the ventilator plug and plugged in the air cooler. When the ventilator's battery ran out of juice, the patient's condition worsened and he eventually died.

When the family noticed the patient's condition worsening, they informed the doctors who performed CPR but it was reportedly too late to save him. After his demise, the family reportedly abused the doctors present at the hospital.?
The news received attention after it was shared on Twitter by user Anant Bhan who expressed shock at the incident.?
He wrote: 'In Kota, patient attendants were feeling warm, so they disconnected ventilator plug and plugged in an air cooler. After ventilator battery ran out, patient's condition worsened and patient died. Resident doctor then verbally assaulted. Would not believe it if i had not read it.'

The total coronavirus cases in Rajasthan have risen to 13,216 with 235 new infections on being confirmed on Tuesday. The total death toll is 308 in the state.
