A Guinness World Record was recently set by French chefs who created a pizza topped with a whopping 1,001 different types of cheese.?
Foodies around the world were enthralled by the video footage of this incredible,?one-of-a-kind pizza that saw the chefs stretch the limits of traditional pizza-making. Nonetheless, their incredible achievement gave a delicious twist to everyone's favourite dish.
Chefs Benoit Bruel and Fabien Montellanico are the brains behind this masterpiece.
The 1,001 varieties of cheese helped the chefs create a new Guinness World Record.?With 940 French kinds of cheese and 61 international kinds of cheese, the master pizza is an explosion of flavour.
Together with YouTuber Florian OnAir and cheesemaker Sophie Hatat Richart-Luna, the cooks set out on this cheesy expedition, producing a pizza that breaks records while being incredibly delicious.
Two grams of cheese each was carefully arranged on top of the pizza crust. For the dough to support the weight and produce a savory, intact masterpiece, the chefs had to precook it.
Softer cheeses were carefully stacked on the harder ones to regulate the variation.?This is a real culinary engineering marvel because the tower remained unbroken during cooking thanks to the creative use of a cookie cutter.
A former record holder, Bruel travelled around France for five months in search of unusual cheese varieties.?A few kind cheesemakers were so enthralled with pursuing a world record that they offered their cheeses for free.
"It's been a real feat being among the cheesemakers and on the farms to meet the producers who are so passionate about their profession," Bruel said, expressing his passion.?
In addition to breaking the previous record set in 2016 for the greatest display of cheese variations, Bruel and his crew also secured the record for the most varieties on a pizza.
Bruel had already won the championship in 2020 with a total of 254 cheeses.?
This time, he set a record-breaking 1,001, demonstrating his unwavering dedication to pushing the boundaries of cuisine.
A few days ago, they were part of the Guinness World Records.
