The internet is a treasure trove of bizarre content. From amusing animal content to hilarious matrimonial ads, we have seen it all. Yet, there's stuff that takes things beyond the very scope of bizarre. And this is a perfect example.?
A man in Assam issued a newspaper advertisement saying he had lost his death certificate. No, we aren't making this up.?
For the unversed, a death certificate is a document that can only be issued when a person is dead.??
In the now-viral ad, the man claimed that he had lost his own death certificate. "I have lost my death certificate at Lumding Bazar (in Assam) dated 07/09/22," the advertisement read.?
He also furnished further details like the registration and serial number of the certificate, along with his name and father¡¯s name.
The person identified himself as Ranjit Kumar Chakraborty.
The photo of the viral advertisement was shared on Twitter by Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Rupin Sharma.?
"It happens only in India," Sharma captioned the post.
The post has left the internet talking, and it is not hard to see why.?
"If found where the certificate has to be delivered Heaven or Hell?" a user commented.
"This is "Ad-bhoot," another user said.?
Meanwhile, speaking of bizarre ads, a woman in Australia earlier took out a full-page newspaper ad to get revenge on her cheating ex. What is more interesting is the fact that she did so using her ex's credit card.?
"Dear Steve, I hope you're happy with her. Now the whole town will know what a filthy cheater you are," the ad read.?
It wasn't even the best part of the ad. The classic punch came at the end of the message, when Jenny informed Steve that she had bought the ad space using his credit card.
"P.S. I bought this ad using your credit card."??
The?newspaper?later announced that it had been inundated with messages from readers about the ad that appeared on page four.
"We do NOT know who Steve is, but apparently he¡¯s been very very bad," the newspaper said in its Facebook post.?
"We won¡¯t be revealing any details about Jenny. We have not charged the credit card in question," it further added.?
