The saying 'the customer is always right' might have exhausted itself now due to customers not understanding what they actually want and then blaming the service for being wrong.
A classic example of this is of this bizarre incident from Minnesota, U.S., where a small business owner is receiving admiration for staying calm and collected while dealing with an irrational angry customer who demanded a refunded after ordering a dozen face masks and receiving 'only 12'.
According to a report by news website?KRFO, Zada McCray, a single mother and owner of Zada's Vault - an online clothing company that sells shirts, hoodies, cards and customised face masks, was recently under fire by an angry customer who sent her an email with the subject line reading, 'wrong mask order'.
Screenshots of the email exchange were shared on the microblogging website Twitter. In the screenshots provided, the anonymous customer wrote, 'Hello, I ordered a dozen custom masks from you, however you only sent me 12.'
It further reads: 'I really needed them all. I would like a refund please and I will no longer support your business. I try to support black owned businesses but you guys continue to rip people off.'

McCray responded to the bizarre request by saying that a dozen means 12 and the quantity sent to the customer was correct. Since there has no fault from the company's side, there will be no refunded provided. In fact, to calm down the situation, McCray apologised and offered a $5 discount to the customer.?
However, the customer failed to see logic once again and responded saying they were 'not interested' in the discount. They further wrote, 'I must of missed it on the invoice. I needed 20. I never heard of it being listed as 12.'
They added, 'I swear it was pronounced 'dub zen' like a dub (20) whatever tho.'
The incident has gone viral on Twitter with more than 3,00,000 likes, over 46,000 retweets and a couple thousand comments.?
Zada's Vault's Twitter handle also posted pictures of the invoice of the order where it is clearly mentioned that the quantity is 12.?

As bizarre and unnecessary this is, it helped McCray's business to take off. She took to Twitter and wrote, 'I went from 3 online orders every other week to 30 in one day!! This is beyond amazing!'
