We are a generation that's used to getting things easily. Especially when it comes to food, there are tons of varieties to fulfil our cravings and it is easily accessible too. We can either get our food home delivered via food delivery apps or just go for the usual take out if we don't feel like dining at the restaurant.?
But sometimes, mishaps happen and we don't get exactly what we ordered. But a woman from the US had a very extreme reaction to finding a foreign material in her food.?
An unnamed customer was reportedly angry after discovering melted plastic in a takeout container filled with a spicy soup from Mexican restaurant chain Sol de Jalisco in Temple, Texas, and so confronted the branch¡¯s manager, 24-year-old Jannelle Broland.
The video of this entire incident has gone viral where?the customer can be seen arguing with the manager as she removes the lid of the soup and points at it, before hurling the container at Broland¡¯s face and running out of the store.
Needless to say, Borland was left traumatised and heartbroken by the entire episode. Fortunately, she didn't suffer any burn injuries. "The experience itself was traumatizing and heartbreaking. I felt my spirit had been broken just knowing someone could do something so awful and then laugh about it," Borland was quoted as saying by Mail Online.
The woman had reportedly first called the restaurant to complain about the lid of the takeout box, shouting abuse at Broland, who hung up the phone, only to see the woman turn up at the restaurant minutes later.
¡®Every time I would mention a refund or a free replacement meal, she would just cut me off and kept saying ¡®This is f**king ridiculous¡¯ or ¡®Look at this s**t¡¯,¡¯ Broland said, adding that the woman ¡®did not seem to want anything, just to berate me¡¯.
Broland has reported the incident to Temple Police. She also has photos of the woman's car that were taken by other customers. She intends to press full charges against the woman.
"We do not condone this type of behavior and hold our citizens to the highest standard. If a citizen believes they have received poor service we advise them to remain civil until the problem is resolved," Temple Police Deputy Chief Allen Teston told KCENTV.
The shocking TikTok clip, shared by Broland herself, has now collected more than 5 million views. Netizens have extended their support for her and said the woman should be jailed.??
This is absolutely unacceptable.?
