What happens when you meet with back-to-back failure? Most of us go down the rabbit hole of self pity and curse our fates, don¡¯t we? Even the motivation provided by those around us sounds like unbearable noise during that dark phase. Do you ever wonder what can be a sure shot solution to this problem? Well, it¡¯s nothing else but determination. This one tried and tested trick which might not reap quick results but it is worth the try.?
Entrepreneur and best-selling author Ankur Warikoo regularly posts about his experiences from different walks of life and inspires his readers every single time.
He took to LinkedIn recently to share a tale that is not just inspiring but heartwarming as well.?
Warikoo posted about his father who had undergone a string of professional failures for almost a decade which had resulted in massive losses and debts.?
In 2010, his 56-year-old father was looking to do some work but was afraid that he wouldn't land a job considering his age. Warikoo whipped up a plan and asked his father if he was ready to a routine activity which might seems like physical labour at first that requires no intellectual effort. His father affirmed that he was willing to give it a shot and thus, began the Senior Warikoo¡¯s journey in the world of Search Engine Optimisation(SEO)
Though skeptical at first, the senior Warikoo began doing his task which was given to him by his son. Using one finger for typing, he would take 3-4 hours daily to complete his task. He did not give up for even a day and did so with utmost determination.?
Soon Ankur started running Google Ads on the website as it got optimised and started ranking for long tail keywords.
After 5 months of hard work, the Warikoos finally received a cheque of 101.27 dollars(Rs 5,000) from Google.?
In the course of the next 2 years, Ankur¡¯s father worked on two more websites and made close to 17,000 dollars which amounted to Rs 9 lakh.?This helped Senior Warikoo regain his lost confidence and he decided that he wanted to work for some more years before retiring.?
Life came full circle, when he applied to a job that he had copied and pasted on the website and he got it!
Ankur wrote, ¡°At the age of 58, he changed industries - from Pharma sales to Office administration. Worked for 4 years, before formally retiring in 2016.¡±
He ended his heartwarming post with this one line,?
¡°Every time you find a door closing, remind yourself that the door will open again.¡±
