Doha Knocks Singapore Off To Become World's Best Airport; What's Delhi's IGI Airport's Ranking?
The title of ¡®World¡¯s Best Airport¡¯ has always had two competitors vying for it over the years - Doha¡¯s Hamad International and Singapore¡¯s Changi. This time 12-time winner Singapore has lost the title to Doha in the Skytrax World Airports Awards 2024 as it has come down to the second position.?
Seoul Incheon has bagged the third coveted spot. Tokyo¡¯s twin facilities Haneda and Narita have taken the fourth and fifth places respectively.?
Interestingly, Seoul Incheon has also been named as 2024¡¯s most friendly airport.?
The most noticeable shift is that of Hong Kong airport which moved up 22 positions and locked the 11th spot.?
US airports saw a major slip as Seattle-Tacoma slipped six places and rests at 24th position.??Other positions in the top 10 were filled by European airports namely Paris, Munich, Zurich and Istanbul.?
Indian Airports On The World's Best Airports 2024 List
Only four airports in India were included in the top list. Delhi airport maintained its position at 36th, while Mumbai airport's ranking decreased from 84 to 95 compared to last year. Bengaluru airport saw an improvement, moving up 10 spots to 59 from 69 in the previous year, and Hyderabad airport climbed to 61st place, up from 65th in 2023.
