At a time when Israel's war with Hamas is resulting in severe labour shortage for the Benjamin Netanyahu government, the country has turned to India. Responding to this need, the governments of UP and Haryana have already begun recruitment drives to fulfil the labour shortage in Israel.?
According to TOI report, the Israeli team in Uttar Pradesh is set to test at least 4,600 candidates for jobs over a period of one week. The jobs being offered by Israel include-Bar bending, mason, shuttering carpenter and tiler.
Moreover, Indian government official reportedly informed that the NSDC International, an organization under the Union ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship from India and population, immigration, and border authority (PIBA), Israel, was in charge of the process of hiring construction workers in Israel.
Israeli officials carried out a similar operation earlier this month in Haryana in addition to UP. During the week-long recruitment drive in Rohtak, an official from Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam Limited, one of the state government agencies in charge of the event, reportedly stated that 500¨C600 applicants were interviewed on average each day.

Salary ranges for recruitment advertisements in India are ?116409 to ?141354 per month. Local Indian media and Israeli officials estimate that there are currently about 17,000 Indian workers in Israel, the majority of whom work in the nursing profession.
According to Israeli officials, they anticipate hiring 10,000¨C20,000 Indian migrant laborers in the upcoming months.
