Thirteen years have passed ever since Apple co-founder Steve Jobs¡¯ demise but he continues to be one of the most inspiring entrepreneurs for all generations.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk?Tweet took to his platform X to share a throwback video interview of Steve Jobs. In this clip from 1995, Jobs can be seen talking about how a great idea needs the right people.??
¡°One of the things that really hurt Apple was after I left, John Sculley got a very serious disease, and that disease¡ I¡¯ve seen other people get it, too. It¡¯s the disease of thinking that a really great idea is 90% of the work, and that if you just tell all these other people, ¡°Here is this great idea,¡± then, of course, they can go off and make it happen,¡± says Jobs in the interview.
In the video, Jobs emphasized that the misconception lies in overlooking the extensive craftsmanship required to transform a great idea into a great product. He highlighted that as the idea evolves, it undergoes changes and enhancements.

According to Jobs, no idea emerges in its original form because as you delve deeper into it, you gain more insights and realize there are significant tradeoffs to consider. He emphasized that the true magic lies in the process itself. Each day brings new discoveries, whether they are challenges or opportunities, leading to the continual refinement and evolution of the idea.
Jobs highlighted the significance of a team passionately working on something they believe in. He recounted an encounter with an 80-year-old man from his childhood who demonstrated the process of transforming ordinary rocks, water, and grit powder into something remarkable by letting them whirl in a canister.
¡°The next day, we discovered stunning polished stones,¡± Jobs said.?
This encounter with the old man became a ¡°metaphor for a team working really hard on something they¡¯re passionate about is that it¡¯s through the team, through that group of incredibly talented people, bumping up against each other, having arguments, having fights sometimes, making some noise, and working together, they polish each other and they polish the ideas, and what comes out are these really beautiful stones.¡±
