To make a debut in the Rs 1,000-crore net worth club is one thing. But entering it as the youngest Indian ever is simply another level of achievement. That's precisely what 19-year-old Kaivalya Vohra, the co-founder of quick grocery delivery app Zepto has managed to do.
His rank is 1,036 on the list.
Vohra co-founded Zepto with Aadit Palicha in the year 2020. Palicha, 20, ranks 950th on the list with a net worth of Rs 1,200 crore.?
Vohra and Palicha were both students of?Stanford who decided to drop out of the university's computer science course to pursue entrepreneurship. Before Zepto,?they had started KiranaKart in 2020, a platform that partnered with kiranas (grocery stores) for online delivery.
Named after 'zeptosecond,' an extremely small unit of time, the startup Zepto promises to deliver groceries in minutes. Co-founders Vohra and Palicha founded the firm after they returned to India with a plan to build a quick commerce company. At its launch, the platform guaranteed a 10-minute delivery. However, it was later changed to "delivery in minutes," as per a Business Standard report.
The competition in the world of quick grocery delivery has been heating up in India.? Zepto is competing with the likes of Zomato-acquired Blinkit, Dunzo and Swiggy Instamart, who are already present and plan to keep expanding.?
