You've probably heard of the popular online series The Night Manager, which is receiving a second part and has fans giddy with anticipation.

After season 1, the narrative and the cast, which includes Aditya Roy Kapur, Anil Kapoor, Sobhita Dhulipala, Tillotama Shome, Ravi Behl, and Saswata Chatterjee among others, astounded viewers.

Sandeep Modi, the series' director, spoke exclusively with Indiatimes about the programme's excellent ensemble, adapting an international production, and more as it takes a step ahead.

Sandeep Modi said, ¡°He is a dream guy. I think while he has the panache and charm of the Anil Kapoor we know, but at the heart of this he is still the Chembur guy. And he really understood where I came from. He really supported me. He would call me when I used to have a tough day and many times I would know he was having a tough day. He did not make me feel like I was dealing with a legend. He was just another actor on set who always wanted to know what the problem was and how he could fix it. That is huge. After so many years of being in the industry,, he has a great level of enthusiasm and that is beyond everything. He is quite an inspiration for me. ¡°

Aditya Roy Kapoor And His Fan Following

He admitted being naive and claimed he was aware of his strong fan base but was surprised by the love Aditya was receiving. Modi recalled how his nieces and cousins 'ooh-ed' when he informed them he was working with Aditya.

It was only when they posted stills from the show and it went viral, he realised what was going on.

Speaking on the response, he claimed that neither he nor Aditya had anticipated such a reaction. Only Anil Kapoor predicted that the show would blow viewers' minds; he termed it overconfidence, but Anil referred to it as awareness.

Playing A Prank On Sobhita Dhulipala

He said they would take a heat break from 11 AM-3 PM and one day Sobhita Dhulipala¡¯s makeup artist¡¯s flight got delayed. Sobhita then got her makeup done as soon as her artist landed, and they thought of playing a prank on her.

She spent hours getting ready, so when they informed her that they were taking a heat break (which was the prank), she became enraged and lamented the fact that she worked on the makeup for so long just to give her shot. They informed her that it was a joke a short while later.

Anil liked to play pranks on people by seeming upset. He would shout, "Ye line hai hi nahi where is that line," while they were shooting in Sri Lanka. After everyone had looked at the scripts, Anil would respond, "Thoda masti bhi karte hain."

Tom Hiddleston¡¯s Reaction To Show¡¯s Indian Version

While recalling his meet with Tom, Sandeep Modi said, ¡°I was in London and people had said that the OG actors may join. I landed straight to the screening from the airport and noticed Tom behind me.. I was like OMG he is actually here, I said, marne vale hai aaj.¡±

He added, ¡° Tom had promised to stay for 5 mins and not go inside but he eventually stayed. Watched both episodes and was the last one to leave the party too.¡±

Sandeep added that, ¡°Tom said he did not expect it to be done so well. He wanted to know about Indian shows. Tom said that Aditya has brought more heart to the part than he could many years back. He also liked how Aditya did not change a few things and kept certain scenes the same, and to him it was a tribute. He insisted if I could pass the message to Aditya and I called Adi up and they had a lovely 30 min chat. It's nice if the OG likes it so much.¡±

Talking about we would see more of the actress in the second part, Sandeep said, ¡°I think the trailer would have given you the glimpse, go for it, the thirst trap is on.¡±

Experience Of Adapting An International Project

The filmmaker claims that this is his second time working on an adaptation. Aarya was his first international remake since it was based on the Dutch drama series Penoza. but this time the scale was much higher. Because he was up against The Night Manager, which is already so well-known by people, was challenging. Talking about the current show he said that the actors arrived with their own responsibilities, but they made his life easier.

For the unversed, the Night Manager, a crime-thriller television series in Hindi produced by Sandeep Modi, is a remake of the 2016 British television drama of the same name based on the work of John Le Carre.
