"1. She consented to these shots (not that you¡¯d understand consent). It¡¯s not molestation. However, what you¡¯re doing in this post can be in the purview of harassment. 2. Ranveer is not answerable [sic] for Deepika¡¯s choices and vice versa," one of them wrote.

Prakash Raj and Onir, two well-known directors, have offered their voices in favor of the song.
An enraged Onir replied to his tweet after the retired officer criticized Ranveer Singh for approving Deepika's orange bikini by saying:
Yucks .., sick mentality . Use of words like ¡° allows¡± ¡° tolerate¡± shows that he belongs to that tribe of men who thinks an husband owns the women . And only a vulgar mindset could make a montage like this . Retired and now nothing better to do than zoom in pics n spread hate https://t.co/Fm6p5VFtp9

Prakash Raj was among the first celebrities to support Deepika and SRK in the song controversy.
He had called the controversy "Disgusting ¡ How long should we tolerate these ..Colour Blind #AndhBhakts .. #justasking."
There have been demands to boycott the movie "Pathaan" since it became a contentious issue on social media.
Shah Rukh Khan weighed in on the dissenters at the 28th Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF). He claimed that today's cinema was the single most influential art form.
"Cinema and the advent of articulation through social media platforms have become the foremost expression of human experience and emotion. Social media shape the collective narrative of the time. Contrary to the belief that the spread of social media will affect cinema negatively, I believe cinema has an even more important role to play now. Social media is often driven by a certain narrowness of view that limits human nature."
