Amitabh Bachchan recently gifted his ?50 Crore Bungalow Prateeksha to daughter Shweta and here's how it looks from inside.
Actor Amitabh Bachchan owns some of the most luxurious properties across the country including five of his ancestral family homes. He recently handed out one of them to his daughter Shweta Nanda as a gift. Paying a stamp duty of ?50.65 lakh, Big B released his iconic Rs 50 crore bungalow - Prateeksha.

Property Details of Big B¡¯s Prateeksha
As per registration documents accessed by Zapkey.com, this property was located in Juhu Vile Parle Development scheme¡¯s 10th Road and was transferred through two gift deeds on November 8. The first one was owned by Amitabh Bachchan and his wife and spread across 9,585 square feet valued at ?31.39 crore. The second was of 7,254 square feet and valued at ?19.24 crore.

Prateeksha remained with Amitabh Bachchan for over 45 years!
This was Amitabh and Jaya¡¯s first bungalow in Juhu which they bought together after the success of Sholay in 1975. The couple with Big B¡¯s father Harivansh Rai Bachchan and mother Teji Bachchan lived in Prateeksha for a long time until they decided to move to their present home Jalsa which is just 1 km away.

It was back in July 2020 that a Gulmohar tree from Prateeksha¡¯s garden was uprooted making the emotional Amitabh pen a long note in his blog. The actor revealed that the tree was a sapling when the bungalow was purchased 43 years ago. Even the bungalow was named by his father and veteran poet.
¡°Babuji saw the house as we invited him and Maa Ji to now live with us and named it, Prateeksha... It came from a line of one of his works: ¡°Swagat sabke liye yaha par, nahi kisi ke liye prateeksha¡±.

For the unversed, the wedding of Big B¡¯s son Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai was organised at Prateeksha only.
After the superstar's parents passed away, the Bachchans shifted to Jalsa, maintaining the rooms of his father and mother as they were. In 2017, the BMC served a notice mentioning a potential need for part of the bungalow for road widening, but no action was taken.
