After Fawad Khan, Farhan Akhtar has also confirmed that he will star in Marvel Cinematic Universe's upcoming series, Ms Marvel. Shibani Dandekar, his wife, says she is excited and beyond proud of him.
Last year, when Fawad Khan had finally confirmed, after months of speculations, that he is a part of Marvel Cinematic Universe's upcoming series, Ms Marvel, fans were going berserk. Now, Bollywood star Farhan Akhtar who was also rumoured to be starring in a Marvel project has confirmed his appearance in the same Disney+ TV series.
As he confirmed the news himself, Farhan Akhtar wrote on Twitter, "Grateful that the universe gifts these opportunities to grow, learn and in this case have a ton of fun while doing it."

What role will Farhan Akhtar play? Well, that information has been kept under wraps.
Fawad Khan had confirmed his presence in the Ms Marvel series last year. "Yeah, I am. Woh toh main deny nahi kar sakta, ab toh main jhooth nahi bol sakta, woh toh unhone khud news laga di hai (I can¡¯t deny that or lie about it because they have put out the news themselves)."

For the unversed, Ms Marvel stars Iman Vellani, a Canadian born to Pakistani immigrants, as Kamala Khan aka Ms Marvel, a shape-shifting superhero film. She will also reprise the role in second Captain Marvel movie, titled The Marvels.
Other cast members of the series include Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, Travina Springer and Nimra Bucha.
Ms. Marvel is set to premiere on June 8 and introduces Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, aka the titular character, who is a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a superhero mega-fan with an oversized imagination ¨C particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet, Kamala feels like she doesn¡¯t fit in at school and sometimes even at home ¨C that is, until she gets super powers like the heroes she¡¯s always looked up to.
Farhan Akhtar, meanwhile, currently helming Jee Le Zaraa, starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif. He also has a multi-year partnership with Netflix via his and Ritesh Sidhwani¡¯s Mumbai-based Excel Entertainment.
