Dancer-actress Rakhi Sawant has found herself in legal trouble. According to ANI reports, an FIR has been registered against Main Hoon Na actress Rakhi Sawant and her advocate Falguni Brahmbhatt under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) & IT Act after actress Sherlyn Chopra filed a complaint.

Later both began slamming each other publicly and the war of words lead them to take the legal route. While Sherlyn Chopra had started the legal battle by filing a complaint against Rakhi Sawant for passing shallow remarks to her and, Rakhi too filed a defamation case against actress Sherlyn Chopra, who reportedly mocked Rakhi Sawant in front of the paparazzi recently.

Now, as per ANI reports, Mumbai police have informed that the complainant (Sherlyn Chopra) has alleged that the two of them had shown an objectionable video of her during a press conference and even used objectionable language.
The FIR has been registered under sections 354A, 500, 504, and 509 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and IT ACT 67A.
Known for her bold remarks, Rakhi, who made her debut with the 1997 movie Agnichakra recently spoke about Sherlyn Chopra after filing a complaint against the actress.

She said, "I am really sad to say that due to the comments made by her about me there has been turmoil in my life. Because of her, my recent boyfriend has asked me `whether there is any truth in what Sherlyn is saying`, do I really have 10 boyfriends`. She just came and said whatever she wanted to in the media and now I have to pay for it."
On the other hand, both Rakhi and her lawyer claimed that the case they have filed against Sherlyn "on the basis of evidence."

On the work front, Rakhi Sawant had earlier featured in dance numbers in films like Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hain, Joru Ka Ghulam, Dil Bole Hadippa! among others.
She rose to prominence after doing the item song, Mohabbat Hai Mirchi, which was composed by music producer-singer Himesh Reshammiya. She has also starred in Masti, Shootout At Lokhandwala, and Main Hoon Na, among others.
